Even after repeated bad reviews I decided to have a look anyhow. Glad I did. For a shallow draft boat like mine it’s a wonderful place to sail. The wind usually makes reaching up and down its length a typical day. I saw more boats out day sailing here than any other place on my trip.

I stopped for lunch at La Mariana Sailing Club. Good service, good food.
Then went for walk around the area.

Later in the afternoon I hooked onto a vacant state mooring for the night.

The downsides. Many derelict boats on the moorings. I’ve heard there is a lot of crime there. It’s under the flight path for airliners, although the noise didn’t bother me.

Personally I would stop there again.
